Nominate YOUR favorites in the FtLoC Contemporary YA Awards!

Many of us have seen the Young Adult “readers choice” award contests going around the blogsphere. They’re fun, and they’re interesting…but, sadly, contemporary stories often get buried beneath the other genres.

For that reason, my group blog For the Love of Contemporary is holding its very own CONTEMPORARY AWARDS. You can play along September 3rd through the 17th!

Categories include:

  • Favorite boy
  • Favorite girl
  • Favorite couple
  • Story that made you laugh loudest
  • Story that made you cry hardest
  • Most original and unique contemporary plot
  • Favorite boy point-of-view book
  • Favorite dark contemporary
  • Favorite LGBT
  • Favorite author
  • Favorite 2012 release

How it’s going to work:

Today: Enter your nominations for the Contemporary Awards–up to 5 in each category–as soon as possible!

Thursday, Sept 6th: Drop in for our first giveaway, which includes not one, not two, but several of Stephanie Campbell’s books–IN PRINT! *Note: you MUST have submitted nominations for the  Contemporary Awards to be eligible for the giveaway.

Saturday, Sept 8th: Nominations close at MIDNIGHT. This gives us Sunday to tally all the nominations.

Monday, Sept 10th: The top THREE in each category for the Awards. Voting will open!

Thursday, Sept 13th: Winners for Steph Campbell’s books will be announced! And a new contest will open for an e-book copy of Hushed by Kelley York, and YOUR CHOICE of one of Nyrae Dawn’s e-books! (What a Boy Wants, What a Boy Needs, Freeing Carter, or Measuring Up)

Monday, Sept 17th: Winners for the Awards will be announced, as well as winners for the e-books by Nyrae and Kelley.

So what are you waiting for? Go forth and nominate all your contemporary YA favorites!
